I am writing, or at least I am wanting to... me and the muse... I feel like a car running on fumes... I have such a desire to keep going forward but I think my mind needs a rest. I have my mood set as artistic half truthfully and half sarcastically.

I am putting an exerpt from the fic challenges you gave me up here... Dee meets his folks...

“you come here… you talk to me about all this…crap. You want to know why I left you out in the middle of nowhere. You want me to take it all back? You want me to somehow make up for all the years you’ve missed? You want to show me what I’ve missed? Puh.” The woman spat on the ground near Dee’s feet. “All you’ve shown me is that I didn’t make so bad of a decision all those years ago.”
Dee could hear Patrick, or rather his father in the background howling with laughter. “You got that one right Rin!”

Dee mumbled and turned over in his sleep, his meeting with his parents reeling over in his mind. His husband however, was awake. Ryo rolled over and laced his arms around Dee, just as he started to call out. Dee moaned for something or someone unknown, his voice revealing a lot of pain Ryo assumed he had bottled up over the years. Meeting his parents had not gone well, as both of them had anticipated, but Dee was still stricken hard by it. He had a hollow look in his eyes, he stared off into space a lot, he was quieter... a lot quieter.

He knew it would pass, but for a brief moment Ryo just held Dee close, running his hand through the dark hair and cursing Dee's parents to the depths of Hell and for all he was worth.
